Some people did some workaround, like having sound output from soundcard using the 3.5 jack, and then also have the usb plugged in to control rgb using the software. I just have a generic usbaudio windows driver installed now, windows recognize it as a proper 2.1 speaker, it sounds alot better, and im confident im hearing EVERYTHING, the downside is ghub wont detect the speakers anymore and you cant control the rgb.
And what happens is some games will think you are using a 7.1 system so some of the sounds like gunshots behind you and some ambient sounds (like waterfalls and chirping birds) are missing if you dont "enable surround" on ghub, which does not always sound good. The problem of having a logitech software/drivers installed is windows will think you are using a 7.1 surround system even if you have it off on the software, you cant even set your speakers to stereo 2.1 in the sound control panel. 10 months later i eventually dont use any logitech software, and just turn the rgb lights off permanently and i just bought better ambient lights.
